Obituary of June Gladys Sisson

June Gladys (Mathis) Sisson, 82, of Tulsa, OK passed away on Wednesday, November 19. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank and Viola Mathis on June 9, 1932. She attended Holy Family School from first to twelfth grade and graduated in 1950. She attended the University of Tulsa and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She worked for Stanolind Oil and Gas when she was young. Later in life, she worked in marketing and customer service at Boulder Bank and First City Bank. She had been active in Tulsa Bankers Wives, the Assistance League of Tulsa, the Tulsa Philharmonic for which she co-chaired the Cinderella Ball in 1975, and the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa for which she chaired Kanchi in 1974. She was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Family Cathedral and an active member of the Cathedral Women’s Club and the 55 Plus group. June’s most cherished asset was her family. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Nash of Tulsa, daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and David Casper of Tulsa, Laura and Brad Garrison of Tulsa, Nancy and Bob Babich of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Mary and Chris Rankin of Tulsa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Viola Mathis, her sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Ted Murphy, and her son-in-law, Michael Nash. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Cathedral School, 820 S Boulder Ave, Tulsa, OK 74119. Visitation 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be held at Holy Family Cathedral on Sunday, November 23 at 7:00 PM, and the Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Cathedral on Monday, November 24th 10:00 AM with Monsignor Gregory Gier officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 9101 S Harvard Ave. Ninde Brookside will be handling the funeral arrangements. Ninde Brookside Chapel ninde.com 918-742-5556
