Obituary of Norma Jean "Twink" Yost

Please share a memory of Norma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Norma Jean “Twink” Yost, 87, joined her husband and parents in Heaven on Friday, September 4th. Twink was born in Oil Hill, Kansas on July 8th, 1928 to Jenny Margaret Talley Johnson and Arthur Gilbert Johnson. She grew up on a tank farm where her father was the head mechanic. She was always a daddy’s girl, which is who gave her the nickname, Twink. The day she was born, he said she would always be the “twinkle of his eye”. During the depression, her family moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma where she attended high school. She was the only girl that was ever voted FFA Queen and Football Queen in the same year. During college, she met and married the love of her life, Bob Neal. Bob and Twink had four children, Marci Bain, Robin Neal, Tom Neal, and Jeff Neal. The two were married for 19 wonderful years until his death in 1968. Later, Twink remarried Randolph Yost who had three children of his own, Sally Yost Cook, John Yost, and Randy Yost. She and Randolph lived an exciting life together where they traveled the world, hosted parties with world leaders, and spent time at their second home, the NY Ranch. Twink was always creating an atmosphere to bring people together, whether it was at the ranch, one of her lavish parties, or at the lake; she always wanted to spend her time with the people she truly loved. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and she will be greatly missed by everyone. Her legacy and memory will be shared amongst her children, children-in-laws (Mike Bain and Juliet Neal), grandchildren (Jessica Barlow, Jimmy Barlow, Adam Neal, Ben Neal, Colby Neal, Bob Neal, Tom Neal, Randy Neal, Mitch Neal, Dustin Neal, Alex Neal Wilkerson, Leslie Neal, and Natalie Kopp), and 10 great-grandchildren. We love you, Nina. In lieu of flowers, Twink’s family has requested that you make a donation to your charity of choice. Services will be held at Ninde Brookside Chapel at 3841 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK 74105 on Wednesday, September 9th, at 2pm. Immediately following will be a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in peace.
