Please share a memory of Jon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patterson (1946-2016) passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Astor; sister, Toby; nephew, Shannon, and his first wife, Dr. Cathy Ray. During the 1960’s, Patterson was a Civil Rights Activist. He was a labor lawyer, graduate of Texas Tech, worked at the NLRB an assistant Texas Attorney General, and an adjunct Professor of Law at the Universities of Texas and Tulsa. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and passionate advocate for peace. Locally, he was a longtime supporter of Street School and historic preservation in Maple Ridge and the larger Tulsa community. Pat passionately loved politics, music, history and literature. He could often be heard saying, “…this is our Country, right or wrong. When it’s wrong, it’s our duty to make it right.” Pat is survived by his sons, Mark L. Bond, and Austin P. Bond, daughter, Lindsay Bond, nieces and nephew, Rena Summers and Tracy Milburn, whom he loved as his own children. He was the proud grandfather of four, and great uncle of three. Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday in the Rose Chapel of Boston Ave United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in memory of J.
