Ray Lester Felts of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 90, died Friday January 20, 2017. Ray was born on September 16, 1926 in Cameron, Oklahoma to Ray and Leah Felts. After graduating from high school in Drumright, Oklahoma in 1944, Ray enlisted in the Unites Stated Navy and served as a Seabee in the Philippines during World War II. After serving his country, Ray returned and graduated from Oklahoma A&M University in 1950. Ray met the love of his life Marcheta in the fall of 1949 and they were married several months later. In the years that followed, they welcomed three beautiful children together. They have spent the last 67 years happily married. Ray worked for many years as the president of Riffe Petroleum. He loved the Lord, his Oklahoma State University Cowboys, golf, and playing bridge with his friends. Ray is survived by his wife Marcheta and his children Meredith Whyles and Brion Felts; five grandchildren Megan Hall, Melissa Weber, Danny Felts, Christian Felts, and Julee Felts; three great-grandchildren Logan Hall, Connor Hall, and Olivia Weber; and his brother Jerry Felts. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Donna, and his son Kyle. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ray's favorite charity, the Oklahoma Christian Foundation, 301 NW. 36th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73118. No services are planned.
