Obituary of H.L. Lance Trimble

H.L. “Lance” Trimble, 98, of Tulsa, OK passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born on June 15, 1918 in Alton, MO as the youngest of six children. Lance served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1946. He retired as an accountant from Reading and Bates in 1985. Lance was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Jean, and loving father to their two children, John and Jeanne. He enjoyed reading the Wall Street Journal, playing solitaire on the computer, watching sports and was an avid mall walker. Lance was an honorable man and always had a hearty “hello” for visitors. He was somebody his family could always count on and a promise from him was as good as gold. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Claudia Trimble and his five brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Jean Trimble; son, John Trimble, and his wife, Cheryl (Scottsdale, AZ); daughter, Jeanne Smith (Cypress, TX); four granddaughters, Lorrie Reibert, Lani Wilson, Jennifer Prior and Lindsey Clayton; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Reibert, Sarah Reibert, Hayleigh Luza, Kara Luza, Norah Clayton, Henry Clayton, Teagan Prior and Colin Prior; and one great-great-grandson, Malachi Reibert.
