Obituary of Doris Carolyn Fenn

Doris Carolyn (Hill) Fenn was born October 15th, 1931 to Louis A. & Gladys Hill in Okmulgee, OK and passed from this life March 13, 2017 at the age of 85. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Louis A. Hill, Jr. and sister-in-law, Jeanne Hill. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George L. Fenn, Jr.; her brother, John Dixon Hill and his wife, Ann; her brother-in-law, Philip Fenn and his wife, Gloria Jean; sister-in-law, Patricia Vann and her husband, Richard; her children, Carolyn Clark and her husband Red Woods; her son, George A. Fenn and his wife, Kally; her grandchildren, Jacob Allen Fenn and his wife, Christy and Violet Fenn; her precious great grandchildren, Dakota and Kaleb Fenn. Doris’ life was one of service to her Savior Jesus Christ and service to others through her church, Girl Scouts and the American Red Cross. Hers was a life of faith and self-giving love. This was also shown in her dedication and service to the missions of her church, Boston Avenue Methodist Church, one that encompassed her whole life. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in the Rose Chapel and graveside committal will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
