Obituary of Loris Von Matlock

Loris Von (Hampton) Matlock was born October 16, 1926 in Tulsa to Roland Corwin and Grace (Hughes) Hampton.  She passed from this life Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the age of 90. 
Von attended Eliot Elementary School and was a 1944 graduate of Tulsa Will Rogers High School where, for a number of years, Von helped coordinate class reunions for both schools.  Likewise, she attended Colorado Womens’ College at Boulder.  Von was a proud member of the Osage Nation and a patriotic American.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol King and Terry King, both of Tulsa; her half-brother, Randy Clarke of California; cousins, Connie Moore and her husband, Ted of Broken Arrow, Greg Robbins and his wife, Rita of Tulsa and Julie Standingbear and family of Pawhuska, OK.  She is also survived by her “3rd” daughter, Carole and Richard Stromme of Tulsa.
The family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Von’s memory to Animal Aid of Tulsa, 3307 East 15th Street, Tulsa, OK 74112.
