Obituary of Lillian Elizabeth Bates

Lillian Elizabeth (Krepps) Bates was born September 25, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK to William & Ermita (Grant) Krepps and passed from this life in Glenpool, OK on September 18, 2019 at the age of 92.

Lillian attended schools in Tulsa and studied at the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Delta Gamma. She married Lt. Colonel Randolph Clark Bates and had three sons. She had three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She loved her home and family.  Lillian also had a special place in her heart for all children. She cared for her grandchildren and was a nanny for several families.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; by her son, Randolph Clark Bates Jr.; her brother Billy Joe Krepps; her sister Jane Krepps Jenkins and her sister Ermita Krepps Payne. She is survived by her two sons, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother George Krepps; nephews, George Krepps Junior, Edward Krepps, Wesley Ray Payne, III (Connie) and her niece Cathy Payne Atkins (Ray) and special friends Virginia Ash, Julie Adelson and other friends. The family wishes to especially thank Good Shepherd Hospice nurse Hedi, Social Worker Melvin, and other hospice staff who lovingly cared for Lillian. Glenwood Skilled Nursing and Therapy Center also provided compassionate and kind care over the past 4 years.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26 at Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK.  She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
