Obituary of Sally D. Neibling
Sally D. Neibling, 74, of Tulsa, OK passed from this life on December 4, 2019.
Sally was born on February 14, 1945 in Fort Worth, TX. It was no coincidence that she was born on a day known for love because she loved deeply and fully, and was loved and adored by so many.
Most people who are fortunate enough to have known her describe her as an angel on earth. There are not enough words to describe her sweet soul. Sally was gentle, patient, kind, compassionate, caring, loving, and incredibly generous. She was beautiful in every way and had a selfless heart, always putting others before herself. Sally was a loving wife, wonderful mother, caring grandmother, and treasured friend who put her whole heart into everything she did and always went above and beyond to make others feel loved. She greatly enjoyed giving gifts to her family and friends. She thoughtfully and carefully chose just the right thing. Anyone who received a gift from Sally felt how much she cared.
Sally grew up near Depew, OK. After graduating high school in 1962, she lived in Texas and California. She made her way back to Oklahoma in the late 1960s and made Tulsa her permanent home. She worked as a model in the 1960s and again in the 1980s, and earned a top model spot with Cherrie Modeling Agency. Sally also worked as an office administrator at Children’s Clinic of Tulsa and Dental Associates, and in surgery scheduling at Saint Francis Hospital. Throughout the 1980s, she worked in the oil and gas industry for Hawkins Oil and Gas, Hutton Oil and Gas, and Anadarko Land and Exploration. Before becoming a full-time homemaker, Sally was the Office Operations Manager for BSW, an architectural firm in Tulsa. As a homemaker, Sally focused on the things she loved most, caring for her family, decorating, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandsons. She loved to learn, and later in her life she enrolled in classes at Tulsa Community College where she earned a 4.0 GPA and was on the President’s Honor Roll.
Sally is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Dr. Jerome J. Solow; daughter, Melanie Johnson; two grandsons, Jacob Price and Trip Johnson; step-son, Mark Solow and wife Ruth; step-daughter, Stephanie McCullough and husband John; step-daughter, Julie Solow; as well as many loving relatives and friends.
Sally made this world a better place, and we are forever changed by her passing. Her bright light will continue to shine through those who love her, and she will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria.
