Ann Opal Barnard was born July 31, 1937, in Bonifay, FL to Robert Ivey & Agnes Lavada (Strickland) Fielding and passed from this life on March 15, 2025, at the age of 87.

Ann moved to Tulsa shortly after her marriage to Marvin Barnard.  She has lived in Tulsa for over 60 plus years and called it home.  She met Marvin while he was in Bonifay working with the Army Corp of Engineers.  They were married shortly thereafter.  After moving to Tulsa, Ann became employed as a teller in a local bank.  She moved through the ranks from teller to Senior Vice President of CrossFirst Bank where she retired at the age of 72.  She and Marvin had no children, but they loved their nieces and nephews as their own.  She was a BIG basketball fan and could tell you all the information you wanted to know about it and then some! She loved being at home and just doing things she had not been able to while she was working.  She enjoyed eating out with her friends, was generous to a fault and was always grateful for the blessings God had allowed her to enjoy.  She was a person of prayer and loved by everyone who knew her.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Barnard; her sisters, Nell Tindell, Bobbie Miller and Betty Hutchinson; her brothers, Ren Fielding and Rex Fielding.    She is survived by her sister, Marlyne Wilson; her brother, Harold Fielding; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.  

Ann will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home and her funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.  She will be laid to rest in the cemetery following.
