Sharron Loyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away this week after a brief hospitalization.  Born in Chicago, but raised in Tulsa, Sharron graduated from Central High School. She attended Tulsa University for a semester, but ultimately graduated with a degree in nursing from St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for Cardiology of Tulsa for many years and retired from nursing after a long and successful career.

Sharron was married to Harold Loyd and was the devoted mother of their children, Bill and Alesha. She is survived by her brother Darrell and his wife Diane, Bill and his wife Tina, and her daughter Alesha.  A lover of cats, birds, houseplants and sunshine, her warm, bright smile and cheerful demeanor will be sorely missed by her family and her friends, her beautiful neighbors, and her swimming pals at the YWCA. But her kindness, her curiosity, and her love for all living things has been passed to her children as their greatest inheritance.

Memorial services for Sharron are planned for Saturday, 12 April 2025 at the sanctuary of Preparing the Way Global Ministries located at 7100 E 31st St, Tulsa, OK, 74145.
