
Obituary of Brad Bertrem
Bradley Eugene Bertrem (affectionately known as Brad) passed away at home in Tulsa, OK on April 30, 2025, at the age of 87. Born October 12, 1937, in St. Joseph, MO he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma as a child and spent his life surrounded by family and friends, meaningful work and time spent outdoors.
A graduate of Tulsa Central High School, class of 1956, Brad married his high school sweetheart Donna "Sue" Bertrem on January 18, 1957. He proceeded to earn a degree in mechanical engineering from Tulsa University. He began his career at WC Norris and worked there for 29 years. Driven and entrepreneurial Brad went on to found his own business Bertrem Products in 1985 which he ran with pride and dedication until his retirement.
Brad was happiest at the lake, boating, water skiing, fishing, riding jet skis and enjoying life with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his warmth, quiet strength, and the love he showed so effortlessly to those around him. He was also a proud fan of Tulsa University sports teams with season tickets for football and basketball games.
Brad is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Sue Bertrem, his daughter Linda Blair, of Arcadia, OK his son Jeff Bertrem, his grandchildren Zane and wife Jamie and Emma Blair and Hannah, Abigail, and Nate Bertrem and his great grandson Sebastian Blair. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Hazel Bertrem and his brothers Alvin, Chester, Lee, James and Floyd Bertrem.
His Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Boston Avenue Methodist Church with a reception to follow in the church parlor.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association in Brad's memory.
