Linda Sue “Susie” Mullins, 81, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025.
Born December 20, 1943, in Sacremento, California, Susie was the daughter of Winifred Marie Largent Black and W.D. Black. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Black.
Susie earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University. She was passionate about learning and teaching, and her life reflected a deep respect for knowledge, compassion, and community.
A proud Democrat, Susie was known for her sharp mind, kind spirit, and steadfast values. She was a talented quilter, a disciplined gardener, an avid reader, and a lifelong lover of travel and American history. She found joy in good books, meaningful conversations, and time spent with those she loved most – her family, friends, and her beloved dogs.
Susie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Marc Benarrous; her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Amber Mullins; and her cherished grandchildren, Katie, Meghan, and Sam Mullins.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025 in the Rose Chapel at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
Susie will be remembered for her warmth, intelligence, humor, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
