Roman Larkin Jasinski was born in Tulsa, OK to world-renowned ballet dancers who founded the Tulsa Ballet, Czeslaw Roman Jasinski and Edna Moscelyne Larkin Jasinski on February 21, 1954, and passed from this life on November 27, 2025 at the age of 71.

Roman also became a world-renowned ballet dancer from a small age retiring at 35 after traveling the world. He had the privilege of dancing and performing in 47 of our 50 states and several countries abroad including Italy, Russia, Germany, Australia, Paris and England.  He was blessed to be able to dance with many world-renowned dancers. Baryshnikov being one. Baryshnikov even had Roman break in his dance shoes for him.  Roman was the artistic director for the Tulsa ballet for a few years.  For the 18 years, following, he became a police officer for Tulsa, doing several fundraisers for less fortunate kids to go to the Nutcracker at Christmas time where Roman was the choreographer.  A true servants heart! So humble and kind.

Roman then decided he would continue to serve and started a fitness center which he was very proud of and rightfully so. He was also a massage therapist for a time.  Roman was an only child and lost both of his parents as well as grandparents. Surviving Roman are cousins, Reuben, Gigi and Lloyd Larkin and a slew of friends.

To know Roman was to love him, he would give you the shirt off his back and help anyone he could, whenever he could. He was one remarkable human! He had an infectious love for life! 

Roman also taught ballet at Oral Roberts University up until last Christmas.  Just this year, Roman was awarded the AARP Native American honoree award. Roman belonged to the Peoria Indian Tribe which was very dear to his heart.   It has always been important to Roman for his families legacy to carry on long after he’s gone. He donated a lot of his family’s treasures just so his legacy would continue!

Roman will lie in state Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 10-8pm with the family receiving friends from 5-7pm with his funeral being held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home and Chapel.  He will be laid to rest following at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
