Brett Elbon, 65, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, after a multiyear battle with Alzheimer's. Brett was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Durward and Lola Elbon, brother Dean, sister Nancy, and nephew Mike. Brett is survived in death by his wife Sandra, and daughters Grace and Greer, along with his sister Jennifer, nieces Jennifer, Anne, Christa, and Brennan, and nephew Dakota.
Brett was born and raised in Tulsa, OK, graduating from Edison Highschool in 1978, going on to earn a degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University in 1983. Brett met his wife Sandra working at the American Red Cross in 1993, marrying the following year in October of 1994. In his career, Brett held many jobs. He found work in IT and enjoyed website design. He most notably worked in website maintenance with the Tulsa Health Department and in the Customer Relations and Business-to-Business sectors of US Cellular.
Described by many as quiet, fun, and genuinely kind, Brett was a man of faith and believed in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. He was fond of attending the Regeneration Service at First Methodist Church where he grew up. Brett shared his faith through the kindness, concern, and respect he extended to all.
In his everyday life, Brett was a collector of hobbies, a loyal friend, and a present and loving family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs, backyard birdwatching, Saturday lunch with the guys, listening to Christian radio, and taking the long way home. Brett knew Tulsa like the back of his hand and had a calm sense of adventure. He was a fan of an afternoon drive, exploring everything from downtown to back roads and rural cemeteries. Brett was an avid geocacher when his girls were young and was a prominent member of the local GeoMarbling community over the years.
Brett had a quick-witted sense of humor, knew how to have a good laugh, and was protective of those around him. He loved fiercely through his words and his actions. Brett leaves behind a legacy of sincere integrity and compassion.
Services to honor Brett's life will be held on Thursday, January 29th, at First Methodist Church of Tulsa at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to First Methodist Church of Tulsa designating Missions.
