Suzan Lynn May Kirkpatrick passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by love and the quiet assurance of her faith in Jesus. She was 86 years old.
Suzan was born on June 6, 1939, in Odessa, Texas to parents, Russell Denton and Mary Maxine May. She is pre-deceased by her brother, Thomas (Tom) Haller May. She lived a life marked by grace, devotion, and deep affection for her family. From an early age, she carried a gentle strength that defined the way she loved and served others throughout her life.
She attended Central High School in Tulsa and furthered her education at Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Mississippi. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, a reflection of her lifelong interest in understanding and caring for people.
Suzan had a servant’s heart. She loved volunteering in the Tulsa community where she generously gave her time and encouragement. Serving others brought her deep joy and purpose.
Suzan loved traveling with her daughters and dear friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. She especially treasured day trips throughout Oklahoma and surrounding states with her beloved best friend, Robert Wann. They were inseparable companions, and he brought her deep happiness, companionship, and love.
Above all, Suzan loved Jesus. Her faith was steady and sincere, guiding her through life’s joys and its sorrows. She trusted Him faithfully and now rests in His presence, face to face with the Savior she loved.
Her service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 20 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tulsa.
From her marriage to John C Kirkpatrick, Suzan is survived by her daughters, Mary Kay DeSelms and her husband, Stuart, and Laurie Revard and her husband, Mark; her grandchildren, John DeSelms and his wife, Josie, Jacob DeSelms, Will DeSelms, Mary Kris Revard Kollmann, and Luke Revard; and her great grandchildren, Henry and Kathleen DeSelms, and Blakely and Chase Kollmann.

Her legacy is one of devotion, service, warmth, education, laughter, adventure, and unwavering faith. She will be profoundly missed, but her family finds comfort in knowing she has entered eternal peace. Well done, good and faithful servant.
