Anita Louise Robards Obituary

Anita Robards passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose faith, wisdom, and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Anita loved painting, spending time in the mountains of Colorado—especially at Tanglewood Acres in Westcliffe, where she found so much peace, joy, and treasured time with family—golfing, and most of all, being with the people she loved. She was a proud member of P.E.O. for over 50 years and an avid golfer who celebrated two hole-in-ones throughout her life. Her relationship with God was the foundation of who she was, and she faithfully encouraged and counseled countless people through life’s joys and hardships. Anita had a unique gift for making others feel seen, heard, and deeply loved, and her influence will continue to be felt for generations.

Her favorite Bible verse was Jeremiah 29:11:  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor Robards, and her brother, Charles Cearley.  She is survived by her son, Rodney Robards and wife Julie; her daughter, Laura Cloud and husband Dwight; her cherished grandchildren, Caleb Cloud and wife Ashley, Tori Phillips and husband Derek, Cole Cloud, Hattie Henry and husband Tyler, Cade Cloud, Tate Robards, and Calvin Cloud; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Roman and Lynnleigh Phillips. She is also survived by her brother, Lon Cearley, and his wife, Susan.

Anita’s legacy of faith, love, compassion, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
