Obituary of Mattie Faris

Mattie Louise (Faranna) Faris was born February 8, 1915 to Gregario and Carmella (Leonardo) Faranna in Girard, Kansas and passed from this life May 11, 2009 at the age of 94.
Mattie was a desk clerk for Ramada Inn in addition to extensive community involvement. She served as Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mattie is preceded in death by her husband, Villeroy Samuel Faris, Jr.; her sisters, Frances Markham and Rosa Lee; and her brothers, Charles and Joseph Faranna. Having no children Mattie is survived by her dear friend, Liz Pullum and her daughter JoAnn as well as many friends and acquaintances.
A funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
