Obituary of Judson Brave

Judson Philip Brave, 92, passed away in his sleep in his home in McLoud, Oklahoma. He was born January 29, 1917 in Santee, Nebraska the son of Alex James and Alice (Frazier) Brave. He was educated at the Santee Reservation School in Nebraska and attended Brookings State Teachers College in Brookings, SD. He enlisted in the Army in 1940 and mustered out in 1945 as a Master Sergeant. He was employed by the North American Van Lines where he worked for over 35 years. After retirement he went to work for Tulsa Indian center until 2000. he was a member of the Tulsa Indian methodist Church, With Memorial Church and the All Tribes Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Alexander Brave and Francis Brave; his sister: Margaret Whitewater. He is survived by his sister: Evelyn Haney of McLoud, OK; Nieces: Janet Byington and her husband Rev. Timothy and Muriel Wakolee and her husband David as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Ninde Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25th in the Kickapoo Friends Mission Church North of McLoud, OK.
