Obituary of Charles Edwin Milligan, Jr.

Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles Edwin “Chuck” Milligan, Jr. was born June 16, 1937 in Detroit, MI to Charles Edwin & Dorothy Mae (Baxter) Milligan, Sr. and passed from this life on August 20, 2016 at the age of 79. Chuck spent a portion of his early years bowling, curling, and golfing with great success in each, amassing a nice trophy collection. A humorous note, he loved golf so much he ran away from home to Florida to play even more. If he wasn't spending his free time staying active in sports, he was reading the racing form at the horse race track, or feeding various slot machines at casinos in Las Vegas and later, locally. After moving away from his hometown of Detroit, and later, Toronto, he owned and operated his own truck, delivering Carnation dairy products to retail and restaurant locations in a lot of small towns in and around his home near Cleveland, OK. He later hung up his delivery keys, and spent years helping others as a route supervisor for Carnation and later at Borden, where he eventually retired. Chuck had a humorous side and joked with virtually anyone. He never really met anyone he couldn't joke with, or make fun of lovingly. Picking on people, giving them nicknames that lasted forever, and sharing stories of all his years reminded everyone that he lived a happy life, full of fun times. It was all his unique way of letting you know that you had a place in his heart and his mind. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leroy Milligan. He is survived by his wife, Constance Joan (Martin) Milligan; his children, Terry Lee Milligan and his wife Teriann, Craig Allen Milligan and his wife Sara and Tracy Anne Milligan; his brothers, Earl Milligan and Norman Dale Milligan; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. and a funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, all at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Chuck's memory to: American Cancer Society, 4110 S. 100th E. Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146 Ninde Brookside Chapel ninde.com 918-742-5556
