Obituary of Bobby Goddard

Bobby Wayne Goddard, Sr., known as "Bobby G," was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 16, 1940 to Charles E. and Una May Goddard. He was a 1958 graduate of Tulsa Central High School. Bobby joined the Tulsa Fire Department in 1964 and retired as Captain of Fire House 16 in1984. Bobby then joined the American Red Cross serving as a member of the National Disaster Team. He retired from the Red Cross in 1994. Additionally, Bobby owned two businesses, Gold Star Printing and Bobby G's Sales. Bobby spent most of his life serving others in many endeavors. A charity he enjoyed working with was the annual Swing for Sight. Bobby became a member of the Masons in 1995 and was an active Akdar Shriner from 1996 until he suffered a stroke in 2001. The Shriner's Circus was an event that he enjoyed being involved in its success. Some of his favorite pass times were spending time on the golf course with his buddies, working with show dogs, building remote-controlled airplanes and working at the Tulsa State Fair. He was also involved in the '58 class reunions of Central High school. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters, Delores, Frances and Ann; and a brother, Leon. He is survived by his brother, Charles and his sister, Pat. He is also survived by his children, Sylvia Langham, Bobby Goddard, Jr. and Troy Goddard; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and the four women to whom he was married. He will be missed by many. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 pm Sunday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
