Obituary of Russell Sherburn

Russell E. Sherburn was born December 5, 1928 in Bremen, OH to Lloyd and Deloris (Pritchard) Sherburn. He passed from this life Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the age of 80. Russell was a veteran of the Air Force serving in WWII. He retired as Stationary Engineer working for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma. Russell enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and gardening. Russell was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steven. He is survived by his wife, Susan; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Neel, of the home, Brian and Barbara Neel of Tampa, FL; brother, Larry Sweazy of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Jan Stuart and her husband, Fred; brothers-in-law, Hal Walker and his wife, Patty and Sam Prater all of Tulsa; many nieces, nephews and too many friends to count. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Ninde Woodland Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment with military honors will be held in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
