Richard Ellis Sweet, 87, died on wednesday, February 4, 2009. Born July 27, 1921 in Okmulgee, OK. He served during WWII in the US Army 10th Mountain Division. In 1946 he came to Tulsa to work for American Airlines where he retired after thirty years as supervisor of the machine shop. Survivors: his wife of 68 years, Anna May (Orr) Sweet; his Son, Rick Sweet and his wife Sally of Tulsa; his grandchildren: Natalie Chmielewski, Alison Hearrell and Emily Sweet; his great Grandchildren: Noah Hearrell and Alex Chmielewski. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7th at the Okmulgee City Cemetery. www.ninde.com Ninde Woodland (728-8500) There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
