Obituary of Dorothy Berry

Dorothy C. Berry, 91, died on Saturday July 4th, 2009. The Lord created high mountains, deep seas and an immeasurable universe, but the clearest sign of his miracle working power was the creation of Dorothy Berry. She was beautiful, with pale blue eyes and thick hair, yet so smart & disciplined that she earned her Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma by the age of 20. She taught at Southeastern State College early in her career, then moved to Tulsa when she married James "Frank" Berry in 1950. She taught at Clinton Middle School and Webster High School many years, retiring in 1977. She loved to sew & was an accomplished seamstress, making all her own clothes most of her life. She was selfless, providing for and helping her family throughout her life. She immersed her family in love and was precious, precious to them. She was exceedingly, abundantly, above all that could be imagined for a wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Frank, daughter Betty, and many nieces, nephews & cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Southminster Presbyterian Church.
