Tony Edward Tucker, Sr. age 94, retired machinist for W.C. North died Tuesday in the Southern Hill Nursing Center. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Military graveside rites will conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars "5th District Rifle Squad". Tony was born on September 24, 1911 in Cameron, Oklahoma to Oscar and Belle (Johnson) Tucker. After graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy on May 29, 1942 serving in WW. II and honorable discharged on November 23, 1945 as a Pharmacist mate, second class. Tony was associated with the WC North Company as a machinist in the oil field equipment department, a position he held until his retirement in 1975. Survivors include his son, Tony Tucker, Jr. of Tulsa, nephew Jack and his wife Kenney Jo Tucker of Sand Springs, four grandchildren Susan Rutledge, Jennifer Mae Baker, Melissa Katherine Merryman and Mark Smith, great grandchildren, Bailey Merryman, Dalton Merryman, Johnna Sue Rutledge and Johnny Rutledge, nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn Bailey, Skip Tucker and Jamie L. Matheny. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys in 1983 and two daughters Connie Smith and Judith Ann Tucker.
