Obituary of Carolyn Norwood

Norwood, Carolyn Mae (Junk) passed away Friday August 7,2009 at the age of 61 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Tulsa on November 6, 1947 to John and Lila Junk and has two surviving sisters - Gayla Junk, and Susan Junk. Carolyn graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1969 where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. In 1968 she married Samuel C. Norwood of Frederick, OK who preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by their son, John S. Norwood and family. Funeral service will be conducted at Ninde Funeral Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria, Tulsa at 2 P.M. Tuesday August 11, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, August 12 at the Norwood family plot, Frederick cemetery, in Frederick, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1920 N. Drexel Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK (1-800-583-1264).
