Colleen Ruth (Shaw) VanZee, 41, died on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at her home following a lengthy illness. Colleen was born April 10, 1968 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida the daughter of James Joseph and Suzanne Ellen (Crass) Shaw. Colleen married Eric Sean VanZee on June 19, 1993 in Cheney, Washington. They moved to Tulsa where she has worked as a paraprofessional in the Jenks Public Schools. Colleen and Eric were active members of Faith United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Eric; her daughters, Sydney, Riley and Mackenzie VanZee; her parents James and Suzanne Shaw of Sapulpa, OK; her sister: Jill Paulat of Anthem, AZ; her brothers: J.J. Shaw of Sapulpa, OK and Patrick Shaw of Chesapeake, VA. Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 in the Faith United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VanZee Support Fund, Faith United Methodist Church, 7431 E. 91st Street, Tulsa, OK 74133.
