Lila Mae (McAbee) Powers, 89, died on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Powers was born April 15, 1917 in Clinton, Oklahoma the daughter of John E. and Lula (Morton) McAbee. She married Boyd N. Powers on May 28, 1938 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1997. They moved to Tulsa in the early 1950's where they have made their home in the Brookside. They were members of the Southside Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years; her parents, two sisters, one brother and one cousin. She is survived by her son, Rob Powers and his wife Carol of New Albany, Indiana; her two Grandsons: Nick Powers and Zack Powers both of Bowling Green, Kentucky; step-grandchildren: Monique Vaughn and Andrea Marshall. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the Ninde Garden Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Private interment will be Monday at the I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Ponca City.
