Obituary of Marjorie May

Marjorie Ann (Mitchell) May, 77, died on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at her home. Mrs. May was born January 14, 1929 in Hominy, Oklahoma the daughter of Robert William and Lena Marjorie (Anderson) Mitchell. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1947. While raising her children she was active in their school P.T.A.'s. She worked for ten years for the Tulsa Public Schools in the accounting department. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family in her earlier years. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She married William Lee May on August 13, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2002. She is survived by her daughters: Patsy Ann Carter and her husband Robert of Bixby, Oklahoma and Nancy Lee Bishop of Tulsa. Also surviving are five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Wednesday at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home, 5757 S. Memorial.
