Obituary of Roy King

King, Roy Ellis, 74, of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Roy was born on February 5, 1935 in Trenton, AR to Billy and Bernice (Pitts) King. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. For most of his life, Roy was a General Contractor in the home construction and home repair industry. He is survived by his wife, Billie Sue (Waters) King, of the home; a son, Brian Douglas King, of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Kelly Leigh Byrd, of Glenpool, OK; a brother, Billy Bonner King, Jr., of Helena, AR; 4 grandchildren, Sam and Anne King, of Tulsa, OK and Will and Jared Byrd, of Glenpool, OK. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 23, 2009, Ninde Brookside Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be to the American Cancer Society, Special Olympic or the Tulsa Humane Society.
