Obituary of Mable Petty

Mable Hannah Petty Mable Hannah Petty left this life on June 14, 2006 at the age of 88. She was born Mable Rosetta Wells on May 23, 1918 in Jefferson Township, Jackson County, KS to Elmer and Emma Wells. At age nine months, her family moved to Geneva, Nebraska where they lived until 1935. They then moved to Adrian, Missouri where she graduated from high school in 1936. She married Edwin L. Hannah in 1937 and moved to Tulsa in 1939. To this union three children were born. Soon after moving to Tulsa the family joined Hagler Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by Edwin in 1976. They owned and operated a family grocery store. She later worked for Otasco stores in Tulsa. Mable was the oldest of four children. Surviving sisters are Martha Lou Bridges and her husband, Charles, and Gertrude Boles. She was preceded by her sister, Viola Nichols. Mable is survived by her husband Gene; her daughter and husband, Sue and Brad Bertrem; her daughter, Kay Welker; and, her son and wife, Leon and Martha Hannah; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren and extended family. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with private interment.
