Dean Orville Hamaker


Born July 20, 1915 in Blue Ridge Missouri. Son of Homer and Ocie Hamaker. Married Frances Gwendolyn Churchill of Sheridan, Missouri on February 11, 1942.


He was a World War II Veteran, serving as staff sergeant in the 8th Airforce stationed in England. He was a crew chief of a B17 bomber and a B25 bomber flying missions over Germany.


He worked for Williams Pipeline (formerly known as Great Lakes Pipeline and Explore Pipeline) after returning from the service. He retired after 37 years of service in 1978.


He had two children, James Glade Hamaker and Susan Ione Hamaker. Three Grandchildren, Angela Sue Hamaker, Jeffrey Dean Green, Brett Allen Hamaker. Two Great Grandchildren, Bailey Mechelle Green, Avery LeeAnn Green He was preceded in death by his son James Glade Hamaker.


Dean was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tulsa Oklahoma and member of Elks Lodge 946 of Tulsa Oklahoma. Hobbies included world traveling, RVing, gardening, bird watching, watching baseball and football and going to Grand Lake in Oklahoma. Foremost in his life was loving and caring for his family and taking care of his home place.


Family will receive friends from 5 - 7:00 PM Monday at Ninde Garden Funeral Home. Funeral service 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel followed by military graveside honors. Ninde Funeral Directors (918) 742-5556.
