Obituary of Linda Goen

Linda Merlene Goen was born November 8, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Merle Walker and Bernice Marie (Johnson) Goen. She passed from this life February 17, 2010 at the age of 61. Linda graduated from Memorial High School in 1966. She attended Tulsa University and the University of Oklahoma, earning a Master's Degree in Social Work. Her hobbies included traveling and reading mystery novels. Linda loved animals and always had pets of her own. She donated to many special interest organizations for animals. Socializing with friends and family was very important to Linda. She enjoyed many different types of music, but country music was her passion. Preceded in death by her parents, Linda is survived by her step-mother, Carolyn Goen; her sisters Wanda Sue Meredith and her husband Robert Eugene and Judy L. Lines; her brother and sister-in-law, Gary Wayne and Barbara Goen; 4 nephews, 2 nieces and host of close friends. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home Chapel, 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
