Mary Lou (Brown) Cary was born March 4, 1930 to William W. and Cora Belle (Cannon) Brown in Coweta, Oklahoma and passed from this life February 21, 2010 at the age of 79.
If you were to ask Mary what her greatest accomplishments were it would be her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Before becoming ill she enjoyed having her family together and cooking them a large meal, which would always include a pie. As she got older her favorite hangout was the Coney shop where she could sit and visit with old friends as they came in. Anyone could tell you Mary was "one tough ole hide".
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Eugene Cary; her son, Dr. Danny Cary; her sisters, Edna Kaufman, Lucille McCulley and Lola McCulley; and her brother, Clarence Brown. Mary is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Tambra and Gilbert Ybarra and LaDonna and Roger Newman; her son, Randal Cary; her daughter-in-law, Terri Cary; her brothers, Freeman Brown, Kenneth Brown and Virgil Brown; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
