Crow, Leta L. (Headman) was born February 8, 1914 in Green Forest, AR to William and Minnie Headman. She passed away at Grace Living Center, Jenks, OK at the age 92. Leta spent her early years in Arkansas before moving to Ottumwa, Iowa where she graduated from high school with the class of 1934. Leta married W. E. Crow in Iowa in 1936, and they later moved to the Tulsa area, where she was very active in the Dawson Baptist Church. She was a leader of the Tulsa Baptist Association for young people from 1942 until 1946. Leta and her husband, moved to Charlotte, NC in 1946, and Leta began a long career in advertising, working 20 years in the business. While in North Carolina, she served as Chapter president of the A.A.R.P. Leta returned to Tulsa in 1987 and was active in Tulsa Friends of Israel, serving on their Board of Directors until recent years when her health declined. During these years she also served on the Board of Directors of the original Dawson church as it went through several name changes. All of Leta's immediate family preceded her in death, but several great and great-great nieces and nephews survive her. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Ninde Whisenhunt Chapel, with Bo Holland and Joe Buckskin presiding. Leta will be laid to rest beside her family members at the Glenwood Cemetery in Green Forest, AR at 4:00 in the afternoon. Memorials may be made to Tulsa Friends of Israel, P.O.
