Mary Nichols Obituary

Nichols, Mary Louise, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend lived life to the fullest. She went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Mary was well known for her ability to "dress the men". She loved her career as a fashion consultant for Selber Brothers in Shreveport, LA and Clarkes' Good Clothes in Tulsa, OK. Her fashion career spanned over 40 years. Mary's determination and drive to get up and go each day of her life even in the midst of adversity has left a lasting impression on her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the members of Christview Christian Church for their love, concern, meals and help during our time of need. Mary was preceded in deeath by her husband, Alvin Ray Nichols; parents, Pearl and Bill Surber as well as sisters, Billie Grace Surber and Marjorie Jane Baughman. Survivors:daughter, Donna Kay Nichols; Grandson: David Ray Olson; sister, Madge Madalyn Noble and numerous nieces and nephews. Services: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Sept 5th, at Christview Christian Church, 2525 S. Garnett. Interment will be in the Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, LA.
