Obituary of Jennifer Tye

Jennifer Jean (Hill) Tye was born on July 27, 1959 to Richard and Patsy (McCracken) Hill in Trenton, MO. She grew up in Trenton, where she attended school and graduated from Trenton High School in 1977. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and St. Luke's School of Nursing, graduating in 1982 as a registered nurse. Jennifer married Doug Tye November 27, 1982 in Trenton and the couple made their home in Springfield, MO until relocating to Tulsa in 1989. Jennifer was a member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. In addition to being a homemaker, she also volunteered with the Red Cross and at her children's schools in the Jenks School District. Jennifer was a loving mother and wife. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be dearly missed. Jennifer leaves behind her husband, Doug; her children, Brett and Matt. She is also survived by her mother, Patsy Hill; her sisters, Jeri Anne Herington and her husband, Marty, and Julie Hill; nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Richard and her infant daughter, Katherine Hillary. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Boston Avenue Methodist Church. A reception at the church will follow the service.
