Obituary of Donna Francy

Donna Kay Ontko Francy was born January 13, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roe Clyde Allen and Ellen (Kersey) Edmondson and passed from this life May 25, 2010 at the age of 57. Donna attended Oklahoma State University where she participated and excelled in water ski sports. She won several trophies, was a Champion Slalom Water Skier and belonged to the Tulsa Water Ski Club. She loved working for SUNOCO in the accounting department as a clerk until her battle with rheumatoid arthritis made it impossible. Donna furthered her education and spiritual journey by obtaining a degree from Rhema Bible College. She was able to join the Christian artist, Carmen, on a tour to Israel where she was baptized in the Jordan River. Her love for the Lord would carry her through her life journey with recitation of the Twenty-Third Psalm being one of her final acts. Preceded in death by her father, Donna is survived by her husband, Kurt Douglas Francy; her mother, Ellen Edmondson; and her two brothers, Clyde and Reid Allen. In addition she leaves behind many friends whose lives will forever be enriched because of their relationship with her. Donna will lie in state Thursday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm with family visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m Friday at Heritage United Methodist Church, Broken Arrow. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Ninde Brookside 918.742.5556 www.ninde.com
