Mullis, Kermith George, 67, Advertising Publisher and owner of Sterling International, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Kerm was born November 21, 1938 to his parents Kermith Claude Mullis and Magdaline Buschman in Peoria, Illinois. Upon completion of his collegiate studies he launched into the advertising world where he devoted over forty years publishing works for many reknowned institutions ranging from universities to restaraunts favored by Tulsans and beyond. Kerm was preceded in death by his beloved son for whom his company was named, Sterling Ray Mullis; his parents; and his sisters Jane Snyder of Washington and Linda Branchex of Illinois. Kerm is survived by his loving spouse Janice S. Mullis of the home; his step-daughters Gina McLeod of Cumming, GA and Valerie Christianson of Tulsa, OK; his sisters June Neubauer of Tulsa, OK, Connie Still of Claremore, OK, and Katherine Dieckow of Illinois; his brothers Earl Schwark of Broken Arrow, OK and Brian Schwark of Illinois. In addition Kerm was survived by two grandchildren and a host of friends and business acquaintances. Kerm was very active in Trade Exchanges and was even proclaimed by the Tulsa World to be "The Barter King of the South" on their front page. He was most known to those who knew him best as one who, without reservation, would sacrifice his time and energy for his family and friends--all of whom will suffer from his absence. Proud of his Irish descent and strong work ethic he will be greatly missed and long remembered by all. Services to be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at Ninde Woodland Chapel, 5757 S. Memorial in Tulsa, OK with interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa, OK. "The family of Kerm G. Mullis wishes to express their sincere thanks for all the love shown, thoughts, prayers, phone calls, visits, food and all other acts of kindness shown to them. God bless each one of you."
