Heflin, Eugene Fay, 85, died Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Claremore Veterans Center. Eugene was born April 7, 1921 in Russellville, Arkansas to his parents Jess Heflin and Ethel Maxwell. He married Audie on August 22, 1947 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and they shared a 57 year love affair. Audie preceded Eugene in death March 20, 2005. Eugene is survived by his son Dennis Heflin and his wife Connie of Broken Arrow and his granddaughter Cassie Heflin. He is further survived by his brother Bobby Heflin of Hulbert, Oklahoma. Having served his country faithfully and returned stateside Eugene went to work as a machinist. He would work in this field for over 25 years, his last stint with Ramsey Winch. He will be greatly missed and the impact he left will be felt for years to come. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Ninde Whisenhunt Chapel.
