Billy Wheeler Obituary

Wheeler, Billy Ray, 76, died Thursday in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Bill was born September 29, 1930 in Amity, Arkansas to his parents Artie Ray & Hattie Faye (Garner) Wheeler. After serving in the United States Army he continued his educational pursuit throughout his lifetime being both a student and a scholar in his field. He worked for McDonnell Douglas as an Electronic Engineer and spent over twenty-eight years in this vocational field. He and Florence Hunter married and enjoyed fifty-eight years of matrimony. In addition to the love of his life he was a lover of God and devoted his time and energy to laboring in the local church. A longtime member of Evangel Assembly of God Bill held several positions of servitude that ministered to all concerned. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Florence Wheeler of the home; his daugthers, Linda Kay West and Beverly Sue Wheeler; his brother, Homer Eugene Wheeler; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services to be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Evangel Assembly of God (18210 E. Admiral Place) with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ninde Woodland.
