Obituary of Margaret Smith

Smith, Margaret Lee, 77, was born June 15, 1929 in Bentonville, Arkansas to her parents Dudley and Lila (Myrick) Holly. She married James Muriel Smith on January 14, 1950 and enjoyed over twenty-eight years of marriage prior to his decease on October 12, 1978. A devoted Christian and a lifelong Baptist she combined her faith and scholastic pursuit by obtaining her Associates Degree and becoming a Registered Nurse in 1984 with many medical mission trips to Haiti. The difference she made can only be told on the other side of life. On a personal note she loved to read, feed the birds and spend time with her family. The love and time she invested in them will continue to influence their lives and the lives of everyone they touch. She is survived by her daughter Muriel Ann Barranco; her grand daughter Mary Kristen Barranco; and her great grandson William Elijah Elliott all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition she is survived by her sister Donna Jo Woods and her husband Jack of Taos, New Mexico. Services are planned for Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Ninde Woodland Chapel located at 5757 S. Memorial at 2:00 p.m. In leiu of flowers the family recommends donating to The Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Donations made be sent to P. O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265-0309 in Margaret's name. Ninde Woodland.
