John Henry Lawrence, 74, died on Friday, February 16, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Lawrence was born May 28, 1932 in Miami, Oklahoma the son of Richard O. and Minnie Belle (Jordan) Lawrence. He graduated from Miami High School in 1951. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma University in Miami where he played football. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He moved to Tulsa where he worked for Otasco for 23 years. He then worked for Today's Homes as a sales respresentative. He is survived by his daughter: Susan Andrew and her husband Jim of Tulsa, OK; his son: John Tyler Lawrence and his wife Toni of Catoosa, OK; his brother Gene Lawrence of Wagoner, OK and three Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Monday at the funeral home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20th in the Ninde Woodland Chapel with Fr. George Eber officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. in the GAR Cemetery in Miami, OK with the Rev.Charles Gibson officiating. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Clarehouse, 7324 E. 49th Place, No.3, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
