Obituary of Lucille Staadt

Staadt, Lucille Iva, 86, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, March 14, after a long illness. Lucille was born in 1920 in Goodland, Kansas, the second of four children, to John P. and Louise Owen and grew up on a farm nearby. After graduating from Kansas State University in 1943, she taught school for a year at Prairie Village, Kansas. In 1944 she married Harold Staadt in Tulsa and they enjoyed 63 years of happy times together, raising two boys and making good memories in the same home for 47 wonderful years. A long time member of Tulsa's First United Methodist Women's activities. Preceded in death by her father in 1952, and her mother in 1978, she is survived by her husband Harold Staadt of the home, her son Neil of Tulsa, her son Randy, his wife Elsa and their daughter Lily (Lucille's granddaughter) of Norman, her sister Margaret Wesner and husband Leon of Tulsa, her sister Patricia Lohr and husband Melvin of Goodland, Kansas, her brother Larry Owen and wife Mary Alice of Wichita, Kansas as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and sister, whose loving, caring, selfless nature touched all of our lives in helpful, thoughtful ways. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Family visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the Ninde Woodland Chapel. Memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church. Family requet that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the General Memorial Fund, First United Methodist Church, 1115 S. Boulder, Tulsa, OK 74119 Ninde Woodland
