Obituary of Bruce Saurino

Bruce Saurino, passed from this life on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the age of 67. Bruce was born on April 3, 1943 to Vincent Robert and Grace Velfy (Evers) Saurino in El Paso, Texas. Bruce lived his life in Los Angeles, California until moving to Tulsa to be near his family two years ago. He owned and operated his own nursery the Dark Star Nursery in Los Angeles for several years before his retirement. Bruce served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his two sons, Jason Saurino of West Virginia, and Ben Smith of Kentucky, his elder brother Vincent Saurino, Jr. of South Carolina; and younger brothers James E. Saurino of Florida, Dan R. Saurino of North Carolina, John A. Saurino of Tulsa a sister, Bonnie Saurino Arnold of Tulsa, 3 grandchlldren, 18 nephews and nieces including John West of Vancouver, Sarah Labra of California, and Nigel, Hans, Joshua and Senna Saurino of Tulsa as well as an abundant number of great friends. Bruce gave us the gift of investing himself in all of our lives and will be terribly missed. He is a lifetime loss. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with Pastor David Peterson officiating.
