Obituary of M. Bogdanoff
Please share a memory of M. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Louise Bogdanoff was an amazing woman, all the days of her life. Louise grew up during the Great Depression and the hard work ethic that she and those of the Greatest Generation learned in those years served her well in life. She worked side by side with her husband Mike, the love of her life, on their produce farm; they were an integral part of the farming community in the Jenks area, where they raised their family. Later they shipped produce and alongside Mike, Louise quickly learned to take the rig to the house when the need arose.
They retired fairly young and after their years of hard work together they were able to enjoy traveling, often with dear friends, and living the sweet life of snow birds prior to Mike's death. Following his passing Louise's life was filled with the love of family, friends and her deep abiding faith. Louise was a great cook and often fulfilled the southern tradition of preparing food for family, friends and church families who were ill or bereaved. She was the best care giver on the planet, providing the most gentle, loving care to many members of her family and Mike's during their serious illnesses, as well as during more joyful times, especially when babies came to those she loved. Their love for each other grew in a beautiful way through the years and somehow she seemed to love each new generation in a unique and special way. Her heart was much greater than the one in her chest. She always knew what to do, what to say and she did it. She lived all her life in grace, dignity and selflessness; she was a beautiful woman, from the inside out. She also taught us to laugh and had a sparkling sense of humor. If you had a story to tell, in good times or bad, she'd always listen. In business, she was smart and sharp and respected by her colleagues. Many sought her advice. Most of all she loved her family and it showed. Her soft blue eyes twinkled with joy and her face lighted with love. But surely those sparkles of love and joy were merely the reflection of all that she gave us, and the legacy of love and wonderful memories of life with this strong, loving and amazing woman. We can bear her passing only by knowing she is at last enjoying a much-deserved rest, the peace that passes understanding and is reunited with her beloved Mikey; her parents, brothers, sisters and many lifelong friends.
Louise will lie in state 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday with family visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Jenks Bethel Baptist Church. Final interment at Memorial Park Cemetery
