Obituary of Loran Rhoden

Loran W. Rhoden, Jr. was born June 11, 1925 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the son of Loran and Luvada (Hodges) Rhoden. He completed this life on Monday, October 4, 2010 in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 85. Loran faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He worked as a drafting supervisor for many years retiring from Telex Company. He married the former Hazel Louise Boyd. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2000. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Phyllis Gibson, his sister, JoDene Meyers and his brother, John D. Rhoden. He is survived by his sons: John L. Rhoden and his wife Kathy, Jessee L. Rhoden and his wife Marilyn all of Claremore; his step-son, Ronald Nail of Tulsa; his Grandchildren, Neil Gibson and his wife Amber, Travis Rhoden and Jaye Martin and her husband Martin; his great Grandchildren Hayden and Hannah Gibson. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of the Ninde Brookside Chapel. (742-5556).
