Dana LaVon Hammett Bruce
Dana LaVon (Hammett) Bruce was born June 15, 1942 in Parsons, Kansas the daughter of George Elmo and Lola Irene (Massey) Hammett. She completed this life on Friday, January 14th, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68.
Dana retired after 25 years from American Airlines. She was an active volunteer for the Oklahoma Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Elaine Bruce Garrison and her husband Douglas Clint Garrison; her grandchildren, Emma Paige Garrison and Evan Clay Garrison all of Webb City, Missouri; her brothers, Michael Hammett of Avondale, Arizona and William (Bill) Hammett of Pacific, Missouri.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Oklahoma Blue Star Mothers Chapter 1, 907 S. Detroit, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74120.
There will be a private family service.
