Obituary of John Graham
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John (Jack) Graham was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on August 9th, 1924. His family moved to Long Beach, California in 1937 where he attended High School with his brother Otis. Jack moved back to Oklahoma and was in the real estate and car business until recently retired. At age 22, Jack enlisted in the army and was a WWII veteran in the Army Air Corp serving his country in Egypt until the end of the war. His duty launched his love for flying and ownership of several aircraft, which he used for many memorable adventures into the wild. Jack was an avid fisherman and infamous for organizing trips to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Alaska and all points in between. His favorite fishing was for Large Mouth Black Bass on top water with his favorite lure, the Skip Jack. He was always in search of the world record which he dreamed of often. In honor of his love for fishing there will be a 21 rod salute at his memorial at Five Oaks Lodge in Jenks, OK. Jack and his wife Linda also shared a deep love for animals including pedigree bird dogs, poodles and terriers.
At 86 years old he has lived life to the fullest. To Jack, life was an adventure he indulged in every moment of every day. He is now experiencing his greatest adventure in Heaven being born again as a Christian. To all of us who knew and love him, may we never forget the sparkle in his blue eyes and his gentle smile. In honor of Jack may we live every moment, laugh every day and love beyond words.
Jack is survived by his wife Linda Graham of Tulsa, his daughter Nita Hoernig of Tampa Bay and his sons Johnny Graham of Tulsa and Gary Graham of Highland Park, TX. Also his stepdaughters Lynn Gantt of Tulsa, Leigh Garland of Oklahoma City and Jan Stanley of Idaho. He is also survived by his grand children Laura Rhodes of VA, Otto Hoernig of Wash DC, Jonathan Graham of Tulsa, GiGi Orsillo of Colorado Springs, Miller Graham and Grace Graham of Highland Park, TX.
