Obituary of Alma Mullendore

Alma N. Mullendore, 99, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away February 28, 2011. She was born in September 14, 1911 in Salem, Arkansas to Mary Lou and Walter Stephens. The family moved to Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. Alma graduated from Webbers Falls High School and attended Connors State College. Alma then moved to Tulsa where she met her husband, J.B. Mullendore. They owned and operated the Harvard Drug, Sand Springs Pharmacy, Will Rogers Pharmacy, Mullendore Pharmacy and London Square Pharmacy. Alma was active in the Women's Pharmacy Auxiliary and a longtime member of the American Business Women's Association. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church for the past thirty years. Alma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Betty Mullendore of Denton, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Nanci and Bradford Williams, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren and their spouses, Cathy and Kevan Jenkins, Robert and Robyn Mullendore, Jr., Bradford Williams III, Brent and Andrea Williams. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren. Alma has lived at Inverness Village for the past five years where she enjoyed many wonderful friendships. Alma brought so much love and joy to her friends and family and will be truly missed. Alma will lie in state 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home and a life celebration will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the New Haven United Methodist Church.
